About Prosense
Prosense has designed and manufactured fixed gas detectors since 2006. The range covers combustible, toxic and asphyxiant gases as well as volatile organic compounds, in explosion-proof enclosures certified for hazardous areas. The products are deployed in more than 70 countries.
The manufacturer does not sell directly into Canada. Orders, device selection, application support and after-sales service go through a regional distributor.
The ranges available in Canada
PQD series
Explosion-proof with integrated OLED display and alarm LEDs, real-time reading. 4-20 mA and RS485 outputs, relay optional. Aluminium or 316L stainless steel enclosure.
PQN series
Same detection platform as the PQD, without the display. The economical choice when readings are taken at the control panel rather than at the device.
PPS series
CO, NO2 and LPG for indoor parking structures. ABS IP54 enclosure, addressable RS485 Modbus RTU output. Works only with the PPS Manager panel, sold separately.

The enclosure is gas-agnostic. The same unit is configured at order time for the required gas, sensor type and range. That covers ammonia, chlorine, VOCs, hydrogen, ozone and refrigerants in addition to the models listed above.

PPS parking garage series
EN 50545-1:2015. CSA certification is in progress and has not yet been granted. We do not claim it until it is issued.
PPS Manager panel
Certifications not specified by the manufacturer, to be confirmed project by project. The applicable certification depends on the model and configuration: always confirm the exact certification of the selected unit before specifying it.

Does Prosense sell directly in Canada?
No. The manufacturer has no Canadian sales structure. Orders, support and service go through a regional distributor.
Are Prosense detectors certified for the Canadian market?
The PQ, PQD and PQN series are CSA and UL certified, in addition to ATEX and IECEx. The PPS parking garage series is certified to EN 50545-1:2015 and its CSA certification is in progress.
What is the delivery time?
Most units are configured to order and delivered in 3 to 4 weeks. Shipping is calculated and confirmed with your order.
Can one detector cover several gases?
The enclosure is common across the range, but each unit is configured for one specific gas and range at order time. Monitoring several gases requires one detection point per gas.
Do the parking garage detectors work standalone?
No. The PPS and PPS+ models require the PPS Manager control panel, sold separately. They do not integrate with third-party systems.
How do I get a datasheet?
Datasheets are provided on request for any model in the range. Write to us with the model and target gas.
