In July, Solution Instrumentation completed its first startup in Barbados: the full commissioning of the P3047 concrete batch plant in Bridgetown. A project that confirms our ability to deliver complex installations, no matter the distance.
The Challenge
The P3047 plant is a custom installation, with its own technical particularities. Integrating the Marcotte system on this platform required rigorous planning and flawless technical execution.
Twelve Months of Preparation
Nothing was left to chance. The team planned and prepared every component twelve months before arriving on site: wiring, connection panels, calibration of the analog cards. This groundwork done in the shop kept surprises to a minimum once on location.
On Site
Sixteen person-days were needed to complete the startup. Yacine Hachemi acted as the Command Alkon integrator, and his brother Sid Hachemi, project manager, oversaw the entire project. Chong and Jean-Sébastien, from Solution Instrumentation, handled the technical work on site.
Result
The plant is now fully commissioned. Antonio, the client-side project lead, oversaw the work with a seriousness and leadership that made collaboration easy. The final result exceeds the expectations set at the start of the project.
A successful first in Barbados, and further proof that preparation makes all the difference.
